The difference between Isolation and Compound moves is important in the strength-training world.

Compound moves are those which target multiple muscles groups and you should always incorporate as much compound moves into your routine as possible. Compound exercises include the Compound Trio: Squats, Bench Press and Deadlift– you can find out more information in my post.

Isolation moves are still important but they only target one muscle group at a time. They are useful for building up specific muscles and should always be done after your compound moves. You can find out more about different isolation exercises on your Legs, Arms and Abs or Core here.
